AI agents

You build your AI agents on your own platform. HCC connects them to calls and hands off to reps. We never write or edit an agent's prompt.

Connect a platform

In the dashboard, open Integrations and press Connect on your platform.

  • ElevenLabs asks for an API key (sk_…).
  • Generic SIP agent connects any agent you can reach over SIP.

Connecting syncs your agents at once. They show on Agents, read-only, each with an agt_… id. Press Sync now after adding one on the platform.

Connect an agent to a call

Bind the agent in a flow, and connect it when the call is answered:

import { agent, defineCallFlow, env } from '@hccrun/sdk';

export const assistant = defineCallFlow(
  'assistant',
  { agents: { qualifier: agent(env('QUALIFIER_AGENT_ID')) } },
  function* (c) {
    yield* c.connect('qualifier');
    yield* c.hangup({ disposition: 'agent' });
  },
);

In test mode, agents join calls only through a flow. A call placed with agentId or connectAgent needs a live key, and a test key gets 400 agent_requires_flow.

On Telnyx

Calls on Telnyx reach agents over SIP only, and neither case above changes in your flow.

  • Generic SIP agents work as they are. Your headers go out on the call.
  • ElevenLabs has no way to choose an agent per call over SIP, so we dial a number assigned to the agent. In ElevenLabs, import a SIP trunk number with no digest credentials, and assign it to the agent. We only read that assignment, and with no number the flow's fallback runs. Two flows on one agent share its number.
  • Variables reach an ElevenLabs agent as {{sip_name}}, so use that in its prompt rather than {{name}}.
  • Tools saved on an ElevenLabs agent work as on Twilio. Each call's tools reach us through two headers of ours, X-hcc-call-id and X-hcc-tool-token, and no variable can stand in for them. Tools saved before 2026-11-06 need one deploy of a changed flow before they work on Telnyx.

What we write to your platform

Only two things, and only if your flow asks:

What it costs

You pay your platform for its usage directly.
